HOW TO CARRY OUT THE PROJECT?

  • By increasing understanding of the The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)
  • By including children and young people in the development and implementation of activities.
  • By providing participants with responsibility for tasks in the activities.
  • By trying to create a positive experience of having been a part of creating visible results.
  • The idea of creating long-term wellbeing and vitality, which children and young people can carry into their lives and their families
  • By working with wellbeing in families and with preventing domestic violence.

A research-based project

  • The project will be highlighted in Greenland through creative activities, which the participants will be involved in implementing.
  • The project will be communicated on an ongoing basis to the local community and the Greenlandic society via relevant communication channels.

WHY ARE WE CARRYING OUT THIS PROJECT?

  • To build the overall capacity of the local community
  • To increase initiatives and activity levels with the aim of creating improved wellbeing and an increase in vitality in children, young people and families in two towns in Greenland.
  • To get experience with developing a model that can be used in other towns in Greenland.

HOW IS THE PROJECT ORGANISED?

  • The project is locally anchored in the towns with a project group, a youth council and a local organiser.
  • We will also be working with exchange of experience between the towns.
